Firestarter Commercial License

A separate license is available for using Firestarter with commercial projects. Notably, we only ask you to purchase a commercial license after you've shipped your game, that game has generated $1,500 profit, and Firestarter was genuinely helpful in accomplishing that goal. There is no expectation that you purchase a commercial license up front.

Firestarter exists to help people learn about performance and to build and ship better games with that knowledge. We don't want licensing fees to be the reason you don't ship, and you shouldn't have to take anyone's word that it's helpful. Firestarter proves its value when it helps you ship a profitable game. Your license purchase lets us know that the project is actually helping people, and helps fund improvements for the next round of developers.
